Valentine’s Day is coming up, and nothing says I love you quite like sugar.

1. Doughnats

5319 Boulevard Décarie, Montréal, QC H3W 3C4

Really just about ANYONE can enjoy one of Doughnats delicious rounds of fried (or baked!) dough. Vegan, baked, and gluten free, the triple threat (available in 4 flavours) is here to cater to those who don’t typically get to enjoy the wonders that are doughnuts. And for those who have no food restrictions? Their fried doughnuts come in a variety of fun flavours (think smores, pb&j, and cookies n’ cream) and are the perfect size for a sugary snack. Check out all of their flavours HERE!

2. La Diperie

68 Ave des Pins E, Montréal, QC H2W 1N5

5582 Av de Monkland, Montréal, QC H4A 1C9

47 Boulevard Brunswick, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC H9B 1P7

Just because it’s cold outside, doesn’t mean we don’t get to indulge in the sweetness that is La Diperie. With 3 locations in Montreal (Pins E, Monkland, and DDO) everyone should be staying warm with a cup of their decadent hot chocolate. Choose a flavour and even some toppings for a perfect winter treat!

3. C’ChoColat

1255 Rue Bishop, Montréal, QC H3G

If you’re looking for somewhere to sit down, relax, and share some really extravagant desserts…C’chocolat is the spot. Their famous melting dome dessert has pretty much taken over my Instagram feed and the rest of their sweet assortment is equally impressive – in terms of taste and presentation.

4. Rustique

4615 Rue Notre-Dame O, Montréal, QC H4C 1S3

Rustique needs no introduction. Famous for their miniature pies, they have become my (and many Montrealers) go-to when in need of some dessert for a dinner or occasion. Their full-sized pies, squares, and other desserts won’t disappoint either!

5. Real Bagel Decarie

6647 Boulevard Décarie, Montréal, QC H3W 3E3

You might be asking why this wonderful bagel spot is on my dessert list. Simple. They make delicious and fun cheese bagels in a wide assortment of sweet flavours (sprinkles, oreo, and apple pie….just to name a few) that I have yet to find anywhere else in the city! Perfect for guests looking to bring something sweet and unique to a brunch! Call ahead because these guys sell-out!
