Montreal’s Very Own Italian Casse-Croute
1202 Rue Bishop, Montreal, QC
My visit to Parma Café had me wishing I worked downtown. If I did, this would definitely be my go to spot to grab lunch.
Located on Bishop, Parma Café has made it its mission to bring us authentic Italian comfort food in a space that is both cute and sophisticated (very hard to pull off!). You could enjoy their sandwiches, salads, and truffle fries at your leisure by their stunning bar, or grab something to go. Whichever you choose, please don’t miss their fries served with truffle mayo and chicken cutlet sandwich. Also, try their olives in truffle oil – we had some to start and were hooked.
You could go a little lighter and healthier with their fresh house salad with marinated grilled chicken, and I have heard their meatballs are phenomenal.
They also have cannoli and nutella horns, best enjoyed with a café latté. I am currently taking a bit of a break from coffee (it’s been 3 months :O….cannot believe it), but it’s a place like Parma that makes it hard to stay away. What is better than sitting at a cozy bar, sipping a latté, and chatting to the friendly staff at this perfect spot.
There is no doubt in my mind that I will be back to Parma Café and I highly advise you to check it out too!
