Montreal’s Latest Secret Bar
When you need a password to get into the opening event of a new bar, you know it’s going to be cool.
Last week Bird Bar opened their (back) doors to a basement hideaway, Henden. The entrance is through the alley behind the restaurant. Once you enter, candles guide you downstairs to the secret spot.
For the opening event, a musician was singing live, oysters and caviar were being served, and bubbly and cocktails were being poured generously throughout the evening.
The space is small and intimate with moody décor reminiscent of a 70s bar: stone-covered walls, dim lighting, and warm tones throughout. Bartenders are even dressed in Alice Kass Lingerie, amplifying the 70s feel.
If you’re looking for a night out away from it all – check out this low key spot with some friends! And did I mention you could order eats from Bird Bar’s menu? Fried chicken, cocktails, and a chill vibe – sounds good to me!
Opening hours
