Madagascar Meets MTL

280 Rue Beaubien E, Montréal, QC H2S 1R6

Last week was Haitian food at Agrikol, and this week was a Madagascar brunch at Tsak-Tsak. That is what I love most about our city. Our food scene is so diverse and gives us the opportunity to taste flavours from around the world.

Tsak-Tsak is quite unique in that it serves breakfast all day long. They also serve both traditional Madagascar dishes and Montreal comfort foods side by side.

They are famous for their Madagascar hot chocolate and claim to have the best lemonade in the city!

I tried their homemade chai latté brewed with an abundance of fresh spices, crushed cardamom, Madagascar vanilla, and chai tea of course.

We went with the smoked salmon plate, which arrived on a rustic wooden slab. The homemade smoked salmon was served with arugula salad, (delicioussss) potatoes, homemade bread topped with poached eggs, cream cheese spread, and roasted tomatoes. Definitely a hearty brunch.

We also went with the candied ginger ribs. These were fall-off-the-bone tender served with salad, potatoes, and poached eggs once again on their homemade bread. Safe to say we left full.

I simply loved this place. From the unique menu to the homemade everything, Tsak Tsak brings Madagasar flavours and vibes to Montreal. This adorable spot deserves to be added to your must-try brunch list!
