Montreal Restaurants Unite for a Cause

Restaurants from across the city united at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts a few weeks ago to pay tribute to the life of Jackie Fisher and to raise funds to improve the lives of those living with Crohn’s and Colitis.

The event did a beautiful job of honouring Jackie Fisher, who was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease at the age of 10. She dedicated her life to raising awareness and fundraising to improve quality of life for those living with the disease. At age 21, Jackie was diagnosed with cancer and sadly passed away last year. A video was shown commemorating her passion towards finding a cure for the disease and Michael Kors donated pink leather heart-shaped key chains that were given to all attendees as a tribute to Jackie’s love of hearts and the colour pink.

The evening was truly a celebration of Jackie’s life, and though I did not know her, it is clear that she was a beautiful and strong woman loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The All That Glitters Gala also showcased just how amazing our city’s food scene really is. From classics like Schwartz’s to new hot spots like Montreal Plaza, an impressive number of Montreal restaurants, bars and food services showed up to raise funds for such an important cause. And they delivered in the best way they know how-  through delicious food and cocktails. Find a full list of participants below who all deserve to be recognized for their contribution to our Montreal community!
