Let’s Talk Sunday Brunch and New Year’s Eve

Licence IV opened its doors this past summer in Griffintown and quickly became my go to spot for 5 à 7 with my girls. We often go to share their amazing charcuterie board, salmon tartare, and a bottle (or two) of wine. So I was very excited to have been invited to try their Sunday brunch this past weekend.

When you walk in, the décor immediately transports you to a Parisian Bistro. The atmosphere is only enhanced by a live pianist playing beautiful classical music.

The brunch menu itself is also classic French Bistro. You could choose from the brunch plate, an omelette, pain perdu, croque madame, crepes, or bénédictines. We went with the Sunday brunch plate and the gravlax benedict. The latter was my personal favourite. Pair any of these options with a delicious latte and a mimosa for the perfect Sunday treat.

Licence IV is much more than a brunch spot – if their launch party was any indication, they know how to throw a fabulous party. If you will be in Montreal for New Years and are looking to celebrate somewhere that somehow fits the description of both quaint and glamorous, Licence IV is your best bet! The theme: Roaring 20s in Paris! There will be dinner, a DJ, a jazz band, and the champagne will most definitely be flowing, so you should definitely reserve your spot now!
