Sake Bar Serving Light Bites Officially Launches This Week
1101 Boulevard de Maisonneuve Est.
I’m sure many of you have recently seen a lot of Instagram posts or stories featuring a beautiful cherry blossom tree inside of a bar.
As of December 8th, Le Blossom Bar, will officially be opened and you will finally be able to gawk at the indoor tree in person while chowing down on hand rolls and sipping on sake.
Located in The Village, this unique spot with a Neo-Japanese décor will be both a sake bar and restaurant serving light bites. In addition to Le Blossom, the owners have also brought us Kamehameha Snack Bar and Le Red Tiger, two other one-of-a-kind restaurants within the same neighbourhood.
We attended the launch of Le Blossom and were amazed by the splendor of the interior as well as the freshness of the food and originality behind the concept.
The Le Blossom menu includes sashimi, temaki, tempura, and udon noodle soups to pair perfectly with sakes, local wines, or cocktails. I sampled both the Kare (curry) and kinoko cream udon noodle soups, which were both very flavourful and different from any udon soups I’ve had before. In addition, I tried the lobster and hamachi handrolls. The key here were the simple and quality ingredients. As for cocktails, my favourite was the Akira – crafted with gin, litchi soda, rose syrup, and Chrysanthemum tea.
Le Blossom is opened 6 days a week (closed only on Mondays, opened 5-12am Tuesday & Wednesday and 5-2am Thursday – Sunday). Scroll down for pictures!
