Old Montreal’s Verses Celebrates 15 Years
100 Rue Saint Paul Ouest, Montréal, QC H2Y 1Z3
In a city where restaurant openings and closures are so frequent, it was my absolute pleasure to attend a 15-year anniversary celebration for Montreal restaurant, Verses Bistro.
Located in the luxe Nelligan hotel, Verses is known for their refined French-Quebecois dishes. Surprisingly enough, I had not yet been to Verses over its 15-year existence, so last week’s celebration was extra special for me. With Moet on tap and a menu fit for a room full of food bloggers, I can definitely say that this was a meal and evening to remember.
The meal started with THE BEST oysters Rockefeller I have ever had, followed by risotto with peas, parmigiano cheese, and thinly sliced pickles – an interesting, yet delicious combination. The main was perfectly cooked lamb atop mashed potatoes and for dessert, a decadent chocolate cake with a raspberry coulis.
The event was beautifully orchestrated by 1 Milk 2 Sugars PR and featured a short performance by talented vocalists BEYRIES.

The fact that Verses is celebrating their 15th anniversary speaks volumes – so if you have yet to visit, it may be about time!
