Tapas at Taza

5375 Av du Parc, Montréal, QC H2V 4G9

I have never been to Spain and am anxious to finally go! The main reason: TAPAS.

There’s just something about those perfectly-portioned plates that keep me wanting more-  so I am on a hunt to bring you a list of Montreal’s best tapas spots, and my journey began last weekend at Taza Flores in the Mile End.

Tapas at Taza Flores are more Mediterranean than Spanish. Menu items vary from more traditional Spanish tapas like chorizo, to unconventional options like eggplant “pizza”.

EVERYTHING we ordered was delicious-  right down to our perfectly paired bottle of red recommended by our knowledgeable waiter. Though we were 3, we must have ordered enough for 10. Lighting was not in my favour, since we dined on their adorable terrace, but I did manage to capture a few of the delicious dishes.

Favourites included: lamb cigars, grilled halloumi salad with chimichurri, trout tartare, bacon-wrapped dates, paella, and eggplant pizza with feta.

Overall, I would say Taza Flores is the perfect date spot, and a great start to my tapas tour! If you want to take a new date somewhere romantic and a little off the beaten path –  this is the place. The food and atmosphere will not disappoint.

Should I reserve? Reservations are definitely recommended and can be made by phone or on their website.
Date night? Absolutely.
Dress ready for… A casual night by the Mediterranean sea.
The damage: $$ (out of $$$$)
