Brunch on Bernard
1205 Avenue Bernard, Outremont, QC H2V 1V7
If you haven’t tried an authentic Persian brunch, you are missing out. It is warm, comforting, and most importantly delicious.
Unfortunately, the day I visited La Rouladerie there happened to be torrential downpours, so I missed out on their adorable little courtyard terrace. But the hot tea and warm service were just what we needed to help us forget about the rain.
What you need to order:
Persian Tea – When you order the tea, a selection of spices are brought to the table for you to choose from. We decided on adding cardamom and cinnamon and the product was just my cuppa tea :).
Aubergine Provençale – A MUST. This eggplant dip with garlic, tomatoes, and egg is smokey and unlike any I have tried before. It is served with toasted baguette brushed with olive oil.
Sangak Platter (with Persian Omelette with Feta) – Velvety smooth feta and tomato scrambled eggs, served with walnuts, more of their incredibly creamy feta, tomatoes, and Sangak (traditional Persian flat bread).
Cheghertmeh Omelette – Scrambled eggs with chicken, caramelized onions, and potatoes, also served with crispy rosemary potatoes.
They also have an amazing selection of French & Persian pastries baked in-house that should not be missed!
All breakfasts are served with a basket of bread, jams (the cherry was my favourite), halva, and feta.
They also have board games (chess, backgammon, etc.) so you could literally spend the day here sipping endless cups of tea and playing games inside on a rainy/snowy day, or outside during the summer! Check them out!
